Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
The late Tim Horton is featured among the 18 members of the 1967-68 Toronto Maple Leafs whose signatures appear along the shaft of Pete Stemkowski’s game-used stick. Horton’s faint lead pencil autograph is clearly legible in the middle of the shaft between “Pattern Made” and “Pro” on this CCM Custom with “Stemkowski” stamped on the front of the shaft. Blue ink signatures on the shaft beginning at the bottom include trainer Naylor, Pulford, Pulford, Carleton, Keon, Mahovlich, Hillman, Rupp, Sly, Stanley, Ellis, Bower, Armstrong, Conacher, Pronovost, Walton and Pappin. This vintage team-signed gamer is solid, despite a chip missing from the upper edge of the toe, and retains Stemkowski’s white tape jobs on the knob and blade.
