Henri Richard, the all-time Stanley Cup champion with 11 wins as a player, is among the four Montreal Canadiens icons who signed a commemorative plate from the famed hockey team’s 2009 centennial dinner. The Pocket Rocket and fellow Habs icons Beliveau, Lafleur and Cournoyer all signed in blue marker around the Habs’ centennial logo on the face of this gorgeous limited-edition plate, which comes with a limited-edition Molson “Canadiens 100 Years” commemorative beer bottle.
A round, red sticker applied to the middle of the reverse of this exquisite collectible dinner plate reads: “Gala du Centennaire, Canadiens de Montreal, 5 decembre 2009, edition limitee” from the Habs' 100th anniversary gala held the night after the team’s centennial game against Boston in 2009. Measuring 11 7/8" in diameter, this beautiful commemorative plate features the Canadiens’ six team crests around the rim of the dinner plate with the "100, 1909 CH 2009" centennial logo in the center.
The label of the front of this empty 710 ml bottle of Molson Ex indicates that it was "Not for Sale" while a label on the reverse honors the Canadiens' centennial and details the Montreal-based brewery's lengthy association with the Habs.
