Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
Canada’s national sport at the time, lacrosse, was big, big when Imperial Tobacco issued these little cards which mirror their hockey counterparts of the era. A dozen black and white cards from 1912 are best condition-wise here, with only a couple of creased cards and VG, VG+, VG-EX as the grades present. Numbers are 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 20, 25, 30, 35, 39, 41 and 50, the latter being the last card in the C61 set and VG with the slightest of creases, along with light soiling and off-centering as other flaws. Meanwhile, the colored lot of 15 is led by #s 58, 63 and 70 in crease-free VG+ and VG-EX condition, with the rest in lower (P-F-G) grades because of heavy creases or, in a couple of cases, missing parts. C60 cards present are #s 2, 15, 25, 30, 46, 49, 76, 79, 82, 86 and 92.
