Less than a dozen shy of a complete set and highlighted by the presence of the very scarce King Clancy photo, this group of pictures, the likes of which are commonly referred to as Crown Brand photos, should intrigue a few. It’s nice that all beige backings are present, too, with the Clancy photo in crease-free condition and on a VG backing. Howie Morenz, Aurele Joliat and Toe Blake are other biggies, with eight team photos of the Canadiens and Maroons also a highlight. The Morenz and Joliat are among six which have a pinhole in the upper part of the backing to be aware of, but are otherwise VG-VG+. A few other lesser lights condition-wise, but generally nice collectible condition with no real unsightly flaws and somewhat better than previous groups of similar photos that we've handled in the past. The Blake photo was re-glued at the bottom, with glue stains visible and there are tears in the borders of the Ace Bailey and Roy Worters photos. The five Canadiens and three Maroons team photos also have condition issues, with creases and/or tears in the mats. Photos not present are #s 51-Northcott, 125-Mondou, 155-Evans, 157-Wentworth, 195-Barry and 199-Bourque, as well as the '36-37 Maroons, 1936 Canadian Olympic Team and the three scarce team photos of Father Levesque' pee-wee team.
