Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
More Hall of Fame gusto here with an early cardboard appearance of Reginald "Hooley" Smith, a Toronto native who won gold at the 1924 Winter Olympics, less than a year before Champ's Cigarettes of Hamilton released its 60-card set. Pictured here with the Senators and slabbed VG-EX 4 by PSA, Smith later starred on the Montreal Maroons' famous "S" line with Nels Stewart and Babe Siebert, winning two Stanley Cups and finishing his NHL career with an even 200 goals. A swell legacy to consider while slipping this encapsulated prize into your big-time pre-war stash.
