Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
Hockey's "Royal Family" member Frank Patrick had the distinction of being card #1 in the first-ever hockey card set, creating a double-whammy of desirability, with the example offered here graded a mighty respectable VG 3 by SGC. We see #31-Horace Gaul as VG as well, with 3-Gordon Roberts at G-VG. A visible pinhole is in 9-Angus Campbell, SGC-graded Fair 1.5, with a pinhole also in 18-Bawlf and 29-Toms (tear in upper right corner). Hall-of-Famer Tom Dunderdale (#14) is also in the lower grades because of minor paper loss. All are considered rookie cards and display better than their technical grade.
