Forever popular are the little treasures that make up Parkhurst's inaugural hockey card issue, with this ensemble obviously pieced together over the years, with a wide range of grades present. Although there are (41) cards, including the key Gordie Howe and Maurice Richard rookies, with back damage, there are also (31) examples which are in nice crease-free EX-or-better shape. The highlight is card #1-Elmer Lach with its vivid colors and easily EX-MT, possibly NM. Nine other cards at EX-MT include Harvey RC (OC), 29-Schmidt and 81-M. Bentley. Please visit our website for more details about these coveted cards. One card, #16-Gamble is definitely NM with nine other cards at EX-MT; #2, 8, 10-Harvey RC (OC), 29-Schmidt, 31, 36, 42, 81-M. Bentley and 84. Just behind at EX+ are 15-McNeil RC, 26-Quackenbush RC, 28-Dumart, 30, 32 and 96-Laprade RC. At EX are 3-Bouchard RC, 5-Olmstead RC, 24, 35, 41, 57, 67, 76-Rollins RC, 77, 90, 91, 93, 97 and 101. Notables among (9) at VG-EX are 14-Geoffrion RC, 86-Kennedy RC and the last card; 105-Conacher. A couple of VG+ commons join (18) VG cards including The Winning Goal (#52) and RCs of 11-Mosdell, 49-Mosienko, 83-Mackell and 94-Stanley, as well as Black Hawks 48-D. Bentley, 50-R, Conacher and 53-Stewart. Five cards not making it to VG but without back damage include 19-Henry RC (G) and 56-Lindsay RC (G-VG). As for the damage, Gordie and the Rocket have glue residue pretty much covering the back, with a blotch of paper loss also to note on the Richard. Other damaged notables include 47-Lumley, 55-Kelly, 63-Delvecchio, 75-Broda and 104 Rayner. The Terry Sawchuk rookie card and 44-McFadden are the cards missing for a complete set. Lots of possibilities with these little darlings!
