Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011

The Winnipeg Jets made an immediate splash in the new WHA from day one. In the WHA's general player draft in 1972, the Jets selected Chicago Black Hawks Bobby Hull. Hull was annoyed at bickering over money with Black Hawk management and took the Jets' offer. Hull scored 51 goals and 52 assists in 63 games in the inaugural season and led the Jets to a first place finish in the Western Division. They made it to the finals before falling to the Whalers. This trophy is in honor of Hull's scoring achievement. It is 9-1/2" tall and has a 3-1/2" squared wooden base. Inscription is: "Winnipeg Jets Leading Scorer 1972-73 Bobby Hull." At the very base is another inscription: "Co-operators Credit Union Limited." Comes with LOA.
