Here's a rare opportunity to bid on a Stanley Cup ring of recent vintage. This remarkable white gold and diamonds memento commemorates the Carolina Hurricanes' 2006 Cup win and was presented to a front office employee. Conn Smythe winner Cam Ward backstopped the 'Canes to an unforgettable playoff run through Montreal, New Jersey and Buffalo on their way to a seven-game win over Edmonton in the Stanley Cup final. Captain Rod Brind'Amour hoisted the Cup on home ice and passed it on to Eric Staal and the rest of the Hurricanes' championship squad. This fabulous size 10 ring with "Intergold 10K" stamped inside the band remains in magnificent condition and comes in its original wooden presentation box. The Stanley Cup in raised white gold sits in the middle of a Hurricanes team logo made up of sapphires and rubies surrounded by diamonds on the tableau. Still more diamonds adorn the Cup on the right shank. Please see our website description for more information about this magnificent recent Stanley Cup championship ring. Seven dark blue sapphires and 11 rubies are set in a team logo in raised white gold that surrounds the middle of the barrel of a raised Stanley Cup on the face. "Stanley Cup" is spelled out in raised letters along the upper bezel, with "Champions" along the bottom. A total of 10 diamonds line the left and right edges of the face with another 19 slightly smaller diamonds surrounding the Cup and Hurricanes logo. The left shank features the employee's surname in raised white gold, with a raised Hurricanes logo with red and black enamel paint and "2006" beneath it. The right shank features 20 small diamonds set in a raised Stanley Cup along with "Carolina Hurricanes, the team's alternate logo and an NHL shield, all in raised white gold.
The ring’s original presentation box measures 5" x 8" across and stands 2 1/2" high, with "Carolina Hurricanes" and "2006 Stanley Cup Champions" etched into the glass insert atop the lid.
