Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
Bruins legend Eddie Shore is pictured on the far left of the front row of this historic and incredibly rare 1922 baseball team photo that was originally part of the HOFer's personal collection. The 19-year-old Shore (HOF 1947, d. 1985) is seated with crossed legs and arms in his full Cupar (Saskatchewan) baseball uniform along the rest of his hometown team. Please see our website description for details about this lot, which comes with an LOA from the Shore family. This vintage 7x11 print is mounted on its original photo studio matte, which measures 10 3/4” x 14 3/4" and has names printed along the bottom, including “Howell Studio … REGINA”. This original photo has been nicely preserved overall, with only a couple of nicks on the edges of the print and a waterback in the bottom right corner of the matte to note.
