Fred Stanfield's Prince of Wales Trophy honors the Big, Bad Bruins' record-shattering 1970-71 season. Led by Phil Esposito's 76 goals, Boston smashed the NHL mark by scoring 399 times. Stanfield's 76 points were ninth in the league, but only seventh in a Bruins lineup that featured Espo, Orr, Bucyk and Hodge, who were 1-2-3-4 in league scoring. Only a stunning first-round loss to Montreal prevented what should have been a run of Bruins Stanley Cups. Four silver-plated sticks support a cup with removable lid, with the trophy's and Stanfield's names engraved on one side of the 2-inch high wooden base. A plaque on the opposite side reads "NHL Champions - Winners 1970-71 - Boston Bruins." With tarnish and a repair job to the leaves on the top, the trophy represents a prolific season. Comes with Fred Stanfield's signed LOA.
