Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/1/2011
Boston Bruins blueliner and member of the Hockey Hall of Fame Raymond Bourque was a familiar face at NHL All Star Weekends throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Bourque was named a National Hockey League First Team All-Star 10 times beginning in 1980 until his final selection in 2001. He was also selected to the 2nd NHL All Star Team on six more occasions during the period. This wonderful white CCM-made knit was worn by Bourque as a member of the Wales Conference roster during the 1986 All Star game held in at the Hartford Civic Center in Whaler country. Tagged in the neck by Gerry Cosby in size 56 (marked in ballpoint), the number "7" uniform shows obvious game wear with two good stick slashes on the lower front, two more on the back and another on the lower right arm. This example was obtained by our consignor directly from a member of the Bourque family and will come with a detailed letter outlining the provenance.
