Great pair of team-signed 1975-76 Stanley Cup champion Montreal Canadiens pieces features a game-issued Guy Lafleur Louisville stick and a vintage Habs pennant signed by 23. Both items are covered with autographs from the Cup champs, who swept Philadelphia four straight in the final to end the Flyers' run of two straight titles. The stick is signed by 19 and loaded with HOF autographs such as Lafleur, Lemaire, Dryden, Robinson, Savard, Lapointe and Shutt. Please see our website description for details about this lot. “Lafleur” is factory printed low on both sides of the shaft of this Louisville Slugger that is covered with 19 Habs autographs, including Lafleur and Lemaire in ballpoint. The notation “To Ricky, Best Wishes” is written in ballpoint at the top of the shaft followed by the black marker autographs of Dryden, Peter Mahovlich, Bouchard, Tremblay, Jarvis, Risebrough, Lambert, Savard, Lapointe, Robinson, Shutt, Awrey, Larocque, Wilson, and Van Boxmeer, among others.
Habs captain Yvan Cournoyer and fellow HOFer Bob Gainey are also among the 23 autographs from members of the 1975-76 Canadiens on this vintage team pennant. The signatures are somewhat pale though clearly legible. The pennant has pin holes on the right tip and along the left edge and its light creases have been laid flat under glass on a white background within a 16” x 34” blue wood frame.
