A stalwart along the Montreal Canadiens' blue line for much of the 1960s, Jacques Laperriere was NHL rookie-of-the-year in 1963-64, helped the Habs to Stanley Cup championships the next two seasons and then made it three Cups in four years as Montreal recaptured hockey's ultimate prize in the spring of 1968. The Canadiens swept past Boston, took out Chicago in five and then beat the expansion St. Louis Blues in four games, which were all decided by one goal, including two in overtime. J.C. Tremblay had the distinction of scoring the Cup-winner as Montreal clinched with a 3-2 come-from-behind win on Forum ice. This is the top of the gold ring that Jacques Laperriere received to commemorate the Canadiens' 15th Cup title. It was later removed by Mr. Laperriere, who wanted to add diamonds to the original, thus making the ring top into this exquisite pendant charm. A red stone with a golden image of Lord Stanley's famous trophy is encircled by the words that were still used back in the day, "World Hockey Champions." Made of gold but without any markings which would have appeared on the ring, the dazzling keepsake is in excellent condition and will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity signed by Jacques Laperriere. An exceptional Stanley Cup memento!
