Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Memories of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats' 1972 Grey Cup win at Ivor Wynne Stadium are featured in this lot of 14 items. From the personal collection of Canadian Football Hall of Famer Angelo Mosca, included here is a ticket stub from the December 3 title game, which has the final result, "Ham 16, Sask 13", written on the reverse. Mosca is pictured hoisting the Grey Cup on the face of a vintage 15" x 12" plaque presented to him in February 1973 by the Tiger-Cat Quarterback Club. Mosca has signed in silver sharpie across the bottom of an image of the same pose from the rear displayed across a set of 12 attached 1996 Tiger-Cats season tickets. The tickets are displayed in a 16 1/4" x 17 1/4" frame with a pair of commemorative Grey Cup coins titled. Mosca is pictured on the cover of a September 10, 1972 program from the Tiger-Cats' game against Ottawa. Seven vintage 23" x 15" posters of the December 4, 1972 front page of the Hamilton Spectator are included along with three modern photos of Mosca hoisting the Cup, including a 10x8 signed by Mosca and a 20x16 print. Comes with Angelo Mosca's signed LOA.
