Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Impressive and massive tribute to Pavel Datsyuk and his Detroit Red Wings, who finished top of the heap at the close of the 2008 Stanley Cup season. The six-game series against Pittsburgh was about as exciting as hockey can get with Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Lidstrom facing Sid Crosby, Malkin and Fleury. Loaded with sparkling synthetic gems from the table to the shanks, this replica of the ring awarded to each member of the roster is simply stunning. The stone-encrusted winged wheel logo appears at the center and is laid over a sparkling raised image of the Stanley Cup. The ring is crafted in jewelers alloy plated in Rhodium to give it a lasting shine and protect from abrasion. Rhodium is a member of the platinum family of metals and costs more per ounce than gold. Size 11, in near mint condition.
