Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011

The Philip Morris Company's Navy Cut Cigarettes were promoted with this desirable pre-war pocket schedule. With tasteful colors and graphics, the sked lists the home and away tilts of the three Canadian-based NHL teams in 1937-38; the Canadiens, Maroons and Maple Leafs. On paper stock and measuring 3" by just over 4" when folded, it has survived in nice collectible condition with no markings and no unsightly creases/flaws, just a tiny tear in the red of the right edge. Toronto finished atop the Canadian Division in '37-38, followed by the N.Y. Americans, Canadiens and Maroons.
