Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
A fabulously intriguing piece of Ottawa hockey history is this fancy banquet menu from Thursday, April 30, 1908, when the Ottawa "Seconds" gathered to celebrate their City Hockey League championship. Eighteen-year old Eddie Gerard, who would go on to help the NHL Senators to three Stanley Cups, is pictured in the upper left of the team photo collage (by Pittaway Studio) that adorns the approximately 5" by 7" four-page menu on sturdy cardboard stock. Hall-of-Famer Alf Smith is one of the "suits" pictured and is listed on the "Toast List", along with HOFer Harvey Pulford, also of Ottawa hockey fame.
