Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Intriguing trio of rubber is highlighted by an Original Six-era Montreal Canadiens Art Ross Tyer/CCM game puck that dates back to the 1958-62 time frame when team logos first appeared on game pucks. A little very faint printing is visible but not decipherable on the Habs logo, while the back logo has the black outline. Definite game use with a tiny chip and a couple of skate slices. Also included is a Red Wings gamer from the same period with a red rubber team logo and partially missing back logo (without black outline). Puck itself is near mint, with an Oakland Seals Rawlings souvenir puck thrown in and showing considerable use.
