Salt Lake City 2002 marked the end of Canada's 52-year Olympic hockey gold medal drought. This elaborate and magnificent framed montage features a photo of Canada's 2002 Olympic champions surrounded by hockey cards and pins of each of the 23 players who claimed their country's first gold since 1948. Beautifully presented in a huge 36 1/2" x 39 1/2" black frame, the montage features a recessed red matte on which are set the cards and pins of Lemieux, Sakic, Brodeur, Iginla, Yzerman, et al, as well as the 8x10 of the gold medalists' on-ice celebration in the middle of the frame. A Canadian Heritage card makes a total of 24 displayed within cutouts in the black-and-white double matte, which has the Olympic rings etched in white above the team photo and a plaque with "2002 Team Canada, Gold Medal Champions, Salt Lake City, Utah" engraved on it.
