Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Fabulous Finnish 1970s game-worn hockey jersey was sported by a member of the KooKoo Kouvola club team. Founded in 1965, the current edition of the team plays in Finland's Mestis League, the next level down from the Finnish Elite League. "KooKoo 65" crest sits on a black felt shield sewn on the front of this vintage Euro gamer. Orange polyknit jersey has a pair of black fabric bands sewn around the tail and bottom of both sleeves. "Lemminkainen" player surname is spelled out in individual black vinyl letters heat pressed onto the back of the jersey above the number 7. Measures out to roughly a size 38/40 though no tagging remains, if there ever was any. Game wear shows in board burns, unrepaired cut holes on the right sleeve and nicks on the left sleeve.
