Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011

From Russia with love(!) comes this crude paper stub of the day, with the original owner witnessing Paul Henderson scoring the winning goal as Canada tied up the Summit Series with a 4-3 victory. The must-win game for Canada was tied 2-2 after the first, with Gilbert and Yakushev trading goals in the first five minutes of the third. Then it was Henderson, assisted by Savard, firing one home with just 2:04 to go! Nice big stub from September 26th has a couple of light creases down the middle and recalls a fantastic time in Canadian hockey history.
