Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Fifteen stars of Soviet hockey have added their marks along the shaft of this 1970s-era wooden Montreal game stick stamped for use by Vladimir Petrov. The twig features the scarce autograph of deceased Hall-of-Famer Valery Kharlamov (d. 1981) and his talented bench mates including Petrov, Tretiak, Zinger, Shadrin, Maltsev and many more. The red marker sigs are bold and legible, if you happen to read Cyrillic, and they all appear down one side of the vintage stick. Obtained from a Russian woman living in New York City and who got to "hang out" with several of the hockey players when they traveled to the United States.
