Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
"Boom!" Slugging first baseman Mo Vaughn signed his game-used bat which he gifted to NHLer Claude Lapointe. A Vaughn #42 New York Mets replica jersey is also included in this lot of two baseball items from the personal collection of Lapointe, who was playing for the Islanders when Vaughn joined the Mets in the early 2000s. Vaughn, who hit at least 33 home runs in six straight seasons with Boston and Anaheim from 1995-2000, had 26 homers with the Mets in 2002. He wrapped up his career the following season, finishing with a total of 328 home runs in 12 seasons. Vaughn signed in black marker on the barrel of his Old Hickory game-used bat, which displays nice use. Vaughn's initials are engraved on the bottom of the knob and "42" is inscribed on both ends. Comes with Claude Lapointe's signed LOA.
