Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Claude Lapointe's late 1980s Laval Titans game-worn captain's jersey is a highlight of this lot of the versatile forward's junior hockey memorabilia. Lapointe had three straight 100-point seasons in the QMJHL, including 120 in his first season in Laval in 1987-88 and 104 the following year when he wrapped up his junior career. Lapointe's surname, his #10 and the captain's "C" - all in white vinyl - remain heat-pressed onto this red mesh Titans gamer. Cooper, size large and CAHA approved fly tags remain in the neck and a Cooper logo is embroidered onto the right rear tail. The fight strap has been cut. Nice game wear shows in a 2-inch team repair high on the left sleeve and red paint transfer and unrepaired board burn/slash holes on both sleeves. Also included are a pair of Lapointe's Molson sponsored Titans player-of-the-month plaques - offensive for January 1989, defensive for February 1989; a "Lapointe #10" Titans retired jersey 5' x 2' vinyl banner; and a Lapointe #10 size XL Acadie-Bathurst Titan captain's jersey. Comes with Claude Lapointe's signed LOA.
