Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011

Felix Potvin has signed his mid-1990s Toronto Maple Leafs game-used goalie stick. Felix the Cat had already led the Leafs to the conference finals in consecutive seasons when this gamer likely saw active duty late in the lockout-abbreviated 1995 season, and possibly in Toronto’s seven-game loss to Chicago in the first round of the playoffs, judging by the “02 AVR 95” production date stamp on the back of the shaft at the handle. Potvin has added his #29 to his blue marker signature on the top of the paddle of this blue Koho gamer which retains his tape jobs on the blade and knob. This Potvin stick displays clear game use. Cracks on the front and rear edges at the heel and a gouge on the bottom edge of the paddle are to note, though this signed gamer remains a great display piece for a Maple Leafs shrine.
