Though he played during an era that saw aluminum and two-piece sticks come and go, John LeClair remained faithfully reliant on his good old wood Sher-Wood S.O.P. 7000 throughout his career, even when composites had taken over the game completely. This LeClair gamer dates from the early 2000s with John well on his way to 406 NHL goals, including three straight 50-goal seasons with Eric Lindros’ Philadelphia Flyers. The Vermont native has signed with his #10 in silver sharpie on the toe of his black bulldog tape job on the blade. “LeCLAIR 10” is stamped on the front of the shaft, which retains John’s white tape job on the wide knob covered with black gauze tape. Game wear shows in puck marks on the shaft and wear through the bottom edge of the crack-free bottom edge of the blade.
