Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011

Hall of Fame goalie Bernie Parent used this magnificent Sher-Wood stick during his stint with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the early 1970s. Great game use includes loads of red paint transfer from the goalposts on both the front and back of the top edge of the paddle. "Parent 30" is stamped on the front of the shaft of this Parent Leafs gamer which retains Parent's original tape jobs on both the knob and blade. Cracks on the bottom of the heel and top edge of the blade do little to diminish the display appeal of this otherwise solid and intact gamer used by Parent, who went on to become the first player to win consecutive Conn Smythe trophies while leading Philadelphia to back-to-back Stanley Cup wins in 1974 and 1975.
