Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
The late Bob Probert's signature sits on the right side of his game-used Chicago Black Hawks helmet which is the appropriate style he wore with the Hawks in the mid-1990s. Probert signed a bold gold paint pen autograph, which has a smudge through the "t" and his number "24" and a scratch through the "P". His number "24" decals remain in place on the back but the Black Hawks logos on the sides were removed, as evidenced by the glue residue over the CCM logos on both sides. "24" is written in black marker on the interior padding in the back of the helmet. A "1992/03/31" production date appears on a sticker beneath the padding of this game-used helmet, which saw active duty in the mid-1990s and was provided by Probert himself to a Maple Leafs charity auction in the early 2000s, according to our consignor.
