Betcha didn't know ? that Tim Thomas played for the Edmonton Oilers! Drafted 217th overall in 1994 by Quebec, Thomas completed his NCAA career with Vermont and signed with Edmonton as a free agent after splitting the 1997-98 season between ECHL, IHL and Finland. Thomas, who won the Vezina Trophy with Boston in 2008-09, played three preseason games for the Oilers in the fall of 1998 before he was assigned to Hamilton, including a 5-3 win over Calgary on October 2. An Oilers "Set #1 98/99" jersey set patch is sewn inside the rear tail of this gamer which only saw preseason use as Thomas never appeared in a regular season game with Edmonton. Elite, CCM "goalie style" and size 58 fly tags remain in the neck. Light wear includes a few marks on the front of the jersey and an unrepaired slashing cut with burns on the inside edge of the front hem. Comes with a MeiGray certificate of registration and an LOA on Oilers letterhead signed by GM Kevin Lowe.
