From Edmonton's 1989-90 Stanley Cup championship season comes this white air-knit Oilers home jersey worn by rookie defenseman Geoff Smith. "89-90/1" written in blue marker in the neck indicates that this game-worn jersey is from the Oilers' first set of the season. Maska fly tag remains in the neck. Though the handwritten size is completely faded, we measure it at roughly a size 52. This jersey exhibits good game use with a total of six material-backed team repairs on the sleeves and front right shoulder. Unrepaired nicks dot the right sleeve with black stick marks (front and sleeves), yellow paint transfer (right sleeve) and pilling (inside both sleeves and rear hem) to note along with a rectangular piece of material sewn over a patch on the right shoulder. Comes with Oilers/MeiGray documentation, including a certificate of registration.
