Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Attractive, all-original style from one of the most remarkable families the sports world has ever known. The tough, but skillful Duane Sutter, who was dubbed "Dog" by his teammates because he yapped and barked before and during games, contributed to the 1981, 1982 and 1983 Stanley Cup championships as a member of the New York Islanders. This marvelous blue mesh was worn during 1981-82 and has the Sandow logo screened on the lower hem and the dual-tags in the collar (marked with "12" in red). Game wear is evident a few good black stick marks to go along with a number of board burns and two team repairs on the right sleeve. Best is that "D. Sutter" name bar above the two-tone number "12" on the back.
