Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Heavier Sandow knit version, worn by Doug Wilson during the 1982-83 season with the Chicago Black Hawks. Wilson spent 14 straight seasons in Chicago before finishing out his career with a pair of years in San Jose with the Sharks. Wilson turned in a 69-point performance in '82-83, the best numbers on the team for a defender. The creamy durene shirt displays both the SandowSK logo and the Gunzo's identifier which have been screened onto the rear outer hem. Tagged by Gunzo's in the collar, the uniform has a loop-style fight strap added to the inner tail. This one appears to have had a plate change as the outlines from a larger nameplate can be spotted above the back numbers. Dozens of black stick marks sum up the game wear, mostly on the lower front, with the board burns and scuffs on the sleeves.
