Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
One of the most prolific left wingers of his era, Michel Goulet racked up four consecutive 50-goal seasons with Quebec in the 1980s and followed them up with 49 and 48-goal years! Goulet's white knit Nordiques home jersey includes an embroidered and tackle twill sewn-on crest, while everything else is heat-pressed. With a Maska Ultrafil tag in the neck, "Maska" embroidered into the rear hem and a double-cloth fight strap, the jersey shows heavy game use. The front is littered with black marks with more of the same and some blue and red paint transfer on the sleeves. Sadly, the expected cracking and peeling, typical with Nords gamers from this period, is most noticeable in the "16" on the back and the fleur-de-lis flowers on the shoulders. Still, a great early shirt donned by 500-goal scorer and member of hockey's Hall-of-Fame.
