Incredible 1982-83 Winnipeg Jets jersey is arguably the nicest Dale Hawerchuk gamer we have ever seen! Top off the fact that it dates from the Hall of Fame center's record-setting rookie season, with the Jets' "Celebrating Ten Seasons 1972-1982" patch on the left shoulder, and that it displays great game wear, well, you've got yourself a real find. Drafted first overall by Winnipeg in 1981, Hawerchuk made his NHL debut that fall as an 18-year-old and became the youngest player ever to reach 100 points while posting 45 goals and 58 assists in his first season with the Jets. This blue mesh beauty displays black stains along the top of the embroidered red-thread edge of the Jets crest on the front as well as on the last three letters, P-E-G, in "Winnipeg" at the bottom which have been matched to three different photos of Hawerchuk wearing this jersey. Another photo clearly shows one of the black marks on the red left sleeve panel, just above the cuff of Hawerchuk's glove. A two-inch team repair is on the bottom right front. More wear shows in black slash marks on the front tail and both sleeves, including one to the right of the "10" on the right sleeve and another to the left of the "1" on the left, board burns on the right elbow and very nice pilling inside the sleeves. A skate lace ties up the short, double-cloth fight strap. The jersey displays no tagging and measures out to roughly a size 50. For Jets enthusiasts, it just doesn't get better than this!
