Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Johnny Wilson's Maple Leafs' game used stick dates back to the 1959-60 season, and is team-signed by the 1959-60 Stanley Cup champions Montreal Canadiens. Key signers along the shaft include HOF'ers Jacques Plante, Doug Harvey, Toe Blake, Jean B?liveau, Tom Johnson, and Dickie Moore. Others who have left their autographs are McDonald, Hickey, Turner, Backstom and more for a total of 15 signers. Noted are the missing sigs of Henri and Maurice Richard. The stick is in fantastic condition with original taping at the blade and handle and the Brown's Sports supplier stamping along the shaft with "Wilson 19" stamped up on the handle. The signatures are all legible and uniform and completed in blue ballpoint ink. A small nail appears lower on the shaft, probably from an earlier display.
