Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
One of the hobby's most coveted and in-demand cards is the one featuring the first cardboard appearance of then boy wonder Bobby Orr. This example of card #35 from Topps' 1966-67 set has been slabbed by SGC which gave the treasure a grade of EX/NM 6. The naked eye can spot but the slightest of corner touches on three out of four. You won't be zeroing in on those though, you'll be admiring the look of the brush-cut phenom as he began to etch his legacy as hockey's all-time greatest defenceman. Oh, to own a beauty crease-free Bobby rookie!
