Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
We sure do agree with vintage card collectors who rate Topps' first hockey card effort as one of the most aesthetically pleasing of all-time. And, this example of Boston's Cal Gardner may be considering as one of the nicest card #47s ever slabbed by pro graders. SGC has deemed it worthy of NM/MT+ 8.5 recognition. We can tell you that over at PSA, that company's population report reveals that there are 37 similar cards at PSA NM-MT 8, with none higher. An exceptional example thus to consider.
