Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Hockey card wrapper aficionados will surely be excited by the chance to score these two rarities. From Topps' inaugural and classic 1954-55 hockey card effort, these two wax paper wrappers originally held one card, along with a piece of gum, and sold for a penny. Oh, to go back in time! Both wrappers have survived in difficult-to-expect-nicer condition, with fold lines and a couple of tiny tears in the top edge of the 1-cent outer wrapper. The inner one includes comics and a mail-in offer for a "saddle" seat to go on a kids' bike. Weird, wild stuff for your vintage Topps shrine!
