Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Ultra-cool one-of-a-kind jersey for Sidney Crosby and jersey enthusiasts to consider, it comes to us from the man who received it as a gift from Crosby after he helped recover Sid's Team Canada jersey that was stolen after the 17-year old helped his country to a gold medal at the 2005 World Junior Hockey Championships in Grand Forks, North Dakota. A postal employee, our consignor, discovered the jersey when checking a mailbox outside a post office in Lachute, Quebec. The red "reward" jersey here is a Nike size XL job with everything sewn-on, including "Crosby" across the nameplate. Crosby applied a nice black Sharpie autograph to the "9" on the back. An LOA from the consignor, stating how he received the jersey from Crosby, will be included.
