Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Seldom-seen wearable from Mario Lemieux's equipment bag, this pair of well-worn CCM Supra hockey pants will round out a complete game-worn uniform collection for some high-end collector. Nice wear overall with all padding intact and the number "66" inside in faded silver marker ink. Lemieux's photo-matched black pants were worn for both home stands and road games in his shortened final season in 2005-06. Historic moments witnessed by this pair include the 2005 home opener when Sidney Crosby scored his first NHL goal, Lemieux's final NHL goal scored and his final NHL game ever played and last point scored. Multiple photo-matches on these, especially to the Jofa logo on the lower front and to some of the marks. Will come with digital images of the photo matches and a letter of authenticity from Casey Samuelson of Penguins Chronicles.
