Wonderful piece for Wayne Gretzky enthusiasts is this limited edition WGA autographed collage featuring a photo of the Great One signing what was intended to be a lifetime contract with the Edmonton Oilers on his 18th birthday. Gretzky has placed a silver Sharpie signature across his father on the left side of the picture of him, which would prove to be his first NHL contract, on January 26, 1979, in an on-ice ceremony at Northlands Coliseum during his first pro season with the then WHA Oilers. The collage includes copies of the two-page handwritten contract Gretzky signed with Indianapolis Racers owner Nelson Skalbania in June 1978 along with copies of a four-page indemnity agreement he signed with Oilers owner Peter Pocklington that November. The limited edition 16" x 24" collage is hand-numbered "28/199" in the bottom right corner with a WGA holofoil affixed beneath it. Ready for suitable framing, the entire display measures 20 1/4" x 29" when including the margin. Comes with a WGA certificate of authenticity.
