The 1989-90 Edmonton Oilers seemingly defied all odds to win their fifth Stanley Cup in seven years - and their first without Wayne Gretzky! A total of 20 members of the Oilers have signed this gamer which was used by HOFer Mark Messier, who became Edmonton's captain after the shocking mega-deal which saw the Great One traded to Los Angeles. "Messier 11" is factory stamped on the front of the shaft below Moose's distinctive black tape job on the knob/handle. Messier's black bulldog tape job is intact on the blade of this Sher-Wood P.M.P. 7000 stick, which had the factory lettering removed from the face of the shaft where members of the Stanley Cup champions applied blue marker signatures. Anderson, Buchberger, Muni and MacTavish are among the autographs that are clearly legible, while some of the others are smudged and faded, particularly those at the top of the shaft. Comes with an LOA.
