Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
A terrific skater and potent scorer in junior, the WHA and the NHL, Mark Napier arrived in Edmonton from Minnesota in January of 1985 and helped the Oilers win the Stanley Cup later that year. He spent close to another 2 seasons with Edmonton before moving on to Buffalo. Napier's blue mesh Oilers road jersey is by Nike and has a navy company tag in the neck in size "L", while "Nike" is screened onto the hem. The Oilers crest, the numbers on the back and sleeves and "Napier" across the long nameplate are all sewn-on. Nice game wear here with over a dozen stick/slash marks and 6 team repairs including a couple of sizeable ones on the shortened sleeves. Splendid jersey from a grand time in franchise history and from a 2-time Stanley Cup winner. Comes with MeiGray documents.
