Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011

Marvelous mesh worn by Doug Wilson back in the mid-1980s while a member of the Black Hawks in Chicago. Wilson surpassed the 1,000-game benchmark during his career, scoring over 800 points with the Hawks and Sharks. This is Wilson's game-worn Hawks uniform with the embroidered CCM patch on the tail across from a screened red Gunzo's identifier. A double loop fight strap is affixed to the inner back. The born-on tag in the collar reads "84 01" indicating that the jersey would have been worn late in the season and/or into the playoffs. Game wear is easy to spot with three repairs on the sleeves and another two on the lower front. Add this to a number of black stick marks and some green board paint transfer and you have the tale of the game use. Comes with a letter of authenticity from Milt Bryon of Byron's Hockeyland and registration with the MeiGray Group.[red] Addendum; Further research on this jersey indicates it might have been worn during the 1984-85 season rather then the 1983-84 season[/red]
