Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011

Great pair of red seats from the Montreal Forum make for a superb display. Located towards the Ste. Catherine St. end of the building, these two seats gave their ticketholders a great vantage point, in line with and mere rows up from the goal the Canadiens attacked for two periods! The original mumber "17" painted in white remains on one seat back as does the "18" on the adjacent seat, which also has the row "E" painted on the right side. Seat numbers, row and section "102" were added to the seat back by the Canadiens, along with a decal with the famous "CH" logo, when the seats were prepared for delivery, mounted on specially molded legs with the Canadiens logo and the Forum years "1924-1996" along the bottom. Six ticket stubs for these seats for games from the Habs' final season at the Forum include a crease-free stub from the final game against Dallas on March 11, 1996! The remains of the 1995-96 season ticket booklets for both of these seats still has attached the unused tickets from the Habs' final 10 regular season games, which were played at the Molson Centre. Also included are a Forum closing auction brochure and the letter and ticket stubs confirming the original purchase of the seats as well as the invoice.
