This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
This dazzling gold ring is a salesman replica of the ones presented to members of the ?76-77 Montreal Canadiens after they made it two straight Stanley Cup championships in May of 1977, sweeping the Bruins in the finals. The tableau of the ring displays the shimmering logo of the Canadiens, fashioned from 20 zircons. Encircling it is "NHL Champions." One shank features the image of Lord Stanley's coveted trophy while "19" and "77" appear on either side and "Lapointe" above. The opposite shank reads "Club de Hockey Canadiens - Champions Est-East" and lists the teams incredible 60-8-12 record. There are no stampings on the inside of the size 11 ring which shows only very light wear.
