Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Superb Team Canada 1996 air-knit jersey by Bauer was donned by Vincent Damphousse, who made his first international appearance for his country in the inaugural edition of the World Cup of Hockey. Vinny appeared in each of Canada's eight games, scoring twice. From his personal collection, his red Team Canada gamer features a huge Hockey Canada logo team crest sewn on the front, with Bauer and 1996 World Cup of Hockey patches on the right breast. Vinny's surname is spelled out in white twill letters sewn onto a nameplate and his number "25" in white-and-black double twill is sewn on the back and both sleeves. Bauer ProWear and size 56 fly tags remain in the neck and the fight strap is intact. Game use shows in black marks through the "5" on the left sleeve. Both sleeves display more black marks and board burns and a slash mark appears on the front tail. Comes with Vincent Damphousse's signed LOA.
