Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
A member of the 1993 Stanley Cup champions, Vincent Damphousse was among the Montreal Canadiens legends who took to the ice one more time prior to the team's Centennial game in December 2009. This lot from Damphousse's personal collection features a gorgeous commemorative plate presented to him at the Canadiens' centennial gala dinner. Also included are a pair of programs from the game, a magnificent Centennial team photo poster, and a limited edition Molson Export Canadiens "100 Years" bottle of beer. The Canadiens' 1909-2009 Centennial logo sits in the center of the dinner plate, surrounded by six variations of the Habs' team logo in full color. Damphousse is one of 10 former Habs captains seated in the front row in a 14" x 59" poster of the sprawling team photo taken prior to the Canadiens' win over Boston on December 4, 2009. The "Match du Centennaire" programs have the date of the game in French on the cover and are filled with great details and history, while the commemorative Molson Ex bottle remains capped and is filled with, well, beer. Vincent Damphousse's signed letter of authenticity accompanies this Montreal Canadiens centennial game lot.
