Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Superb framed photos date from the Toronto St. Patricks' final season in 1926-27. Vintage St. Pats' team photo and individual photo of Leo Bourgault were presented to the defenseman by the team, which was purchased by Conn Smythe later in the season and re-christened the "Maple Leafs". HOFers Happy Day, Ace Bailey and Carl Voss are pictured along with Bourgault, who is seated on the far right in the front row. This vintage 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" St. Patricks team photo is mounted in its original matte and delicately displayed in its 9 3/4" x 12 3/4" wood frame. The other frame displays Bourgault posed outdoors in his full St. Patricks uniform, including skates, in an 8 1/2" x 6" photo. The vintage print's 9" x 6 1/2" wood frame has a Robert Simpson Co. sticker on the reverse. Comes with an LOA from the Bourgault family.
